  4. The icon appears on your home screen

iPhone / iPad

Safari only — not inside WeChat or QQ

  2. Tap the Share button
  3. Scroll down to "Add to Home Screen"

HarmonyOS

HarmonyOS 5 / 6 (NEXT) no longer runs Android packages

If your phone cannot install the home-screen version (some Chinese browsers hide the entry), download the package directly. It is the same site in a thin Android shell.

Android will ask you to allow installing from unknown sources. The app then appears in your app list as Foreststellar.

Common questions

Does it take much space?

No. The home-screen version caches only a few MB of text you have actually opened. The Android package is around 1 MB.

What works offline?

Pages, articles and news you have already opened remain readable offline. New content, the forum and the member area need a connection.

Why is there no iOS package?

Apple only allows installing apps through the App Store. On iPhone the standard route is "Add to Home Screen", which still gives you an icon, full screen and offline reading.

Will there be a native HarmonyOS build?

HarmonyOS NEXT uses native ArkTS apps (.hap) published through AppGallery, which requires a corporate developer account and software copyright registration. Until then, "Add to desktop" is functionally identical.

Do I need to reinstall after updates?

No. The home-screen version always loads the latest release; the Android package is a thin shell around the live site, so content updates apply automatically.
